Would This Happen In Spain?

March 27th, 2008 - Sandra Marshall

This is a fun one, that I thought I’d share. I read an article yesterday about some wacky new EU directive which is forcing people on and off buses.

“Bus passengers who travel along a route of more than 30 miles must get off the vehicle midway through their journey to comply with new EU laws. The Brussels ruling dictates that drivers must pull over and let everyone off their bus after 30 miles, to ensure they do not spend too long behind the wheel.”

Weird or what? I wonder how long they actaully have to get off for?

AND even more weird is the fact that Western Greyhound in Devon and Cornwall appears to be complying. OK so I can see the Americans jumping on and off as directed because they love rules and tend not even to speed much when driving, but can anyone honestly see that happening here in Spain? Me no!
