Traditional UK Summer On The Way

It seems that all the talk of global warming turning the UK into a dessert or whatever they were claiming is all wrong and that what you can expect is spring showers followed by a wet and warm summer.
Dave Britton, a forecaster, said: “We are back to good old sunshine and showers over much of the country. (Telegraph)
The facts seem to support the view that we have gone back to traditional British weather.
- Last April was the warmest since records began 350 years ago. There was also only 39 per cent of the usual rain.
- This year, the showers are back and spring rainfall is already 25 per cent above average.
- Last spring, the average 24-hour temperature was 48F (9C) but this year it has plummeted to 41F (5C).
As for me I will be enjoying the unbroken sunshine and warmth of Spain just as soon as I get back from Dubai!
