Tostadas - Jury’s Out
June 14th, 2008 - Sandra MarshallI have posted before about how much I like the atún and queso (tuna and cheese!) tostadas, at the Milenio, particularly with their trade-mark sprinkling of oregano. However yesterday over a coffee with a girl-friend I actually ordered a tostada at La Plaza other than butter and marmalade, my usual there.

I was really impressed; there was plenty of tomato on the bread first, and more tuna to cheese than usual, which I actually preferred. The Milenio gets an extra vote for having integral bread available, but that’s just me being health conscious again as I like the white ones just as much. However La Plaza will serve me a tostada all day, whereas the Milenio regards them as breakfast fare and switches to lunch stuff after 1.30pm, SO pretty even on points there.
This leaves me to decide whether integral and oregano beats beautifully cooked with slightly less cheese and more tuna and tomato. It’s a tough one so maybe I will just have to go on whether I manage to hit the 1.30 pm deadline, Milenio before … La Plaza after, AND as I rarely seem to I’m likely to be eating my tostadas at La Plaza more from now on!
