This Week In Almerimar 080519
May 19th, 2008 - Chris MarshallMost exciting news for this week for me and the cats is that Sands gets back from the UK tonight! Of course that means a trip to the supermarket, but as I only went twice while she was away (my plan of 4 x cottage pie and then 4 x bean chilli worked a treat!), I can’t complain. Besides I reckon I will just make a big chicken casserole that will do us for a couple of days and some salad. Neither of us are ‘foodies’ at all. We like to eat healthy, good food, but don’t bother spending lots of time over preparing meals or finding new recipes. Keep it simple, keep it quick and get on with the exciting things in life!!!
Event wise it is quite still with the 31st Festival Teatro starting on Friday.
I will probably watch both the Champions League (Wednesday) and Championship Playoff (Saturday) at home as really want to stay off the drink and tapas for a couple of weeks while I get my leg(s) sorted for the football. I needed to shed some weight anyway so while I am not able to train I could do without adding weight via booze and tapas!! I will probably make an exception for Kris’s party in Berja next Sunday, although large events/parties are my idea of hell so it will be a very short visit!!
Has to be said that I am not the most sociable person in the world - didn’t go out once at night while Sands was away, and apart from a few beers after football and a bacon baguette at La Plaza one day I didn’t go out at all.

One reason for this is that I refuse to plan ahead. I did way too much of that when I was working full time in the UK, and I want the spontaenatity that life provides now. But, catch 22, when it actually comes to it I generally can’t be bothered to make the effort - is always the cats, a film, the internet, or work to keep me occupied, or just chilling out with Sands. As for dinner parties, regular group events, club or memberships ……. I think I would rather have my teeth drilled without anesthetic!
So I reckon we will have a quite week. No doubt Sands will want to get back to the gym and catch up with her girlfriends. I reckon that once Inés and Juan Carlos get back from Seville we will go and try out their new ideas,

but probably not until after the football competition at the end of the month.

Apart from that I must sort out the apartment that a reader wanted, so I better get onto that this morning. Naturally first option goes to our sponsors;

or people listing their properties on our Rentals page.
