This Week In Almerimar 080428
April 28th, 2008 - Chris MarshallAs I said earlier in the week it is good to be back and it certainly does feel like summer is here, not least as we (well I) cleaned the Fat Boy, put some much needed air in the tyres and headed out for a ride on Sunday, stopping off at La Plaza for a very healthy Adonis Wrap (Greek salad) on the way back. Yep I am on a health kick.

Have arranged to start playing tennis with Lee on Thursday mornings (probably next week as they are moving apartments this week) and I was talking to Richard about getting a season ticket for Almeria next season. At 800€ it seems really good value, so if anybody is interested in setting up a group to go to the games let me know.
Following on from Alex’s article on travel insurance it was interesting to see that a new company called Almerimar Insurance Services is opening up in the marina. You can find their details on the financial page of the Local Information page. (see below as well for more information)
As far as events this week the Painting Exhibition continues in El Ejido and the I Cruz de Mayo starts, check out the Events Calendar for details. We have also added information on the inaugural Almerimar Golf Course Puntuable Competition (thanks to Dave for the heads up on that - see below)
As for this week the focus (apart from work) will be on the Champions League semi finals. Am hoping for a Man Utd v Liverpool final but have a horrible feeling it will be a Chelsea v Barcelona one! It is our Wedding Anniversary on Friday (16 years!!!!!!), and I am going to start training again, so I don’t expect to be fit for much else other than work, train and crash on the sofa - which doesn’t sound too bad to be honest.
If I can be bothered I have an intriguing issue to try and sort out with the modem/router that I brought back from Dubai, and at some stage I have two PC’s to tidy up, configure and install (yippee!!!!!)
Have a great week - as soon as I hit the ‘publish’ button on this post I am off for a run - wish me luck!!!
