This Morning In Almerimar Brakes & Breakfast
June 5th, 2009 - Chris Marshall
Dropped the Fat Boy up to garage in El Ejido as it needs new brake pads. Typically they are not your standard brake pads as I had some 4 pot brakes put on the Fat Boy back in 2001. I am hoping that my man can source and fit them for me as otherwise it is a trip to Almería and over priced bill from the Harley dealership!
Left the Harley in El Ejido with a promise of a phone call on Monday. Kris reckons that is when it will be ready, I reckon itt is when they will have found out if they can source the pads, how long they will take to arrive and how much it will cost. Hope he is right, am assuming I am ……. in which case it could be a couple of weeks before I get the Fat Boy back.
Called in to La Barca for a coffee and a tostada (above). Well I did, Kris had a beer and a hamburger tapas which he said was excellent. Can’t complain at the coffee or tostada and at 4,60€ for the whole bill it was normal for Almerimar i.e. good value!
I don’t think I have been into La Barca since the treasure hunt. I don’t think it has changed much, but I couldn’t swear to it …… the table clothes seemed to be a new addition? Friendly service and a nice local feel with the clients that were in this morning at least.
