The Piramide - Entertainment centre for the under 18s in the Almerimar area
February 16th, 2008 - Chris MarshallYesterday John spoke briefly to Lisa Langley who is looking to reopen the pyramid (Piramide) with a focus on being an entertainment centre for kids under the age of 18.
We hope to get more information so watch out for further articles on this subject sometime soon. Hopefully these will cover progress in renovations, likely opening dates etc.
The idea is to provide:
- a games area with pool tables, video machines etc.;
- an internet cafe with interactive gaming capability (with access controls);
- a diner serving non alcoholic drinks & food;
- weekly discos for under 18s;
- monthly gigs promoting local bands as well as bigger bands;
- classes in judo, dancing etc.
- a private function room;
Other ideas include:
Various clubs including one for the elderly with regular dances;
Activity area for kids under 10;
Morning coffee club for mothers.
