Summer Feel
June 14th, 2008 - Sandra MarshallIt definitely has that summer feel here in Almerimar now. The swimming pools are all opening and I am sitting at my desk listening to the sound of kids splashing about and laughing. This is also the start of relaxing at home in just shorts and a little vest for me, as although the breeze is still there, overall the temperature is much higher than even a week ago. Today I went for a short run around midday and realised that I am going to have to get up and get going before breakfast as it was definitely a little hot, certainly to run far. However it was nice to see people starting to use the beach. I still wonder however if we ARE in for a quieter summer this year as the parasols were still patchy and it IS mid June. But I guess it is still early as the peak season here tends to be short, and July will be the real telling month. Fingers crossed for all the businesses here but Monarch Airlines offering more fares deals for the summer has made me wonder.
