Something For The Weekend

August 8th, 2008 - Chris Marshall

Arghhh!!!! choices, choices and …….. more choices!!!! There is certainly a lot happening this weekend!

The Medieval Market is back in town (8th through 10th) so I have no doubt that we will be heading down their a couple of times. There wont be anything new to look at, but there are always a few things we like to buy, and wandering round from 11pm onwards after a meal is always a great way to experience how the Spanish do things.

I have agreed to go along to the Children’s 5 a side on the Beach (next to the Coco Beach) to video and photograph the event. This will probably involve lunch at Al-rruz

as Jaunmi is playing in the tournament, and drinks at Coco Beach, as that tends to be what Juan Carlos and I do when we are together:

The football is scheduled for two days so it could be a very long weekend!!!

It is the Creamfields concert on Saturday night, and we have been given the opportunity to go and take some photographs, but to be honest there isn’t really any bands playing that I have a huge interest in seeing, and given the probability of drinking most of the day with Juan Carlos I really don’t think we will be going. I always have the dilemma of going to these type of events because they are close and I feel I should, and on the other hand not going because I am nit really ‘into’ concerts unless I really like group ……

Top 5 all time concerts in no particular order are:

U2 – Madison Square Gardens
Bruce Springsteen – The Original Wembley Stadium
Robbie Williams – Phoenix Park in Dublin
Bob Marley – Lake Calhoun in Minneapolis
The Grateful Dead – Various venues in the US.

Anyway, back to the weekend …………

I am also hoping to get a long bike ride in, play some tennis and go out for dinner with some friends. Am exhausted just thinking about it all!!!!!

No a Medieval Market this time. This is a “Sailors Market”.
Probably the same people but different theme!

Thanks for that. It wasn’t obvious that there was anything noticeably different when I cycled past them setting it up earlier and shot some video.

No doubt we will find out later :-)
