R.I.P. Orla (Baby C) …… We Miss You!!!
November 26th, 2008 - Chris MarshallWe are VERY sad, but this afternoon we have had to put Orla down. We had an Xray and then an echo cardio and found out that she had a genetic problem cardio myopothy. No operation possible (humans would need a transplant) and she would have only lived a few years with medicine 2 times a day, and even then not really healthy. Not good but still a very hard decision. We will all miss her and Mori too. Just unlucky for her and us.
That just wasn’t an option for a cat that had such a joy of live so we took the decision to have her put down. She was purring right to the end and the vet and staff were really graceful about it all.
Now we need to ‘explain’ to Mori especially and Saidi that there little buddy has gone. We only had her for a short time but she was such a beautiful cat in every way.
She will be missed but never forgotten.
RIP Orla we all loved you xxxxxx

[...] Without him we wouldn’t have settled in Almerimar as quickly, and would probably still be splitting our time between the UK, USA and Spain. That would mean I would still be working much more my old consultancy business rather than on what I do now. Sands wouldn’t have got involved with Almerimar Life Strays where they are getting close to 100 Cats re housed to Germany, and of course we wouldn’t have got Saidi and Oscar, and had the joy and heartbreak of little Orla!
