Reflections on an expat summer
September 22nd, 2011 - Chris Marshall|
I have written before about the steady stream of visitors an expat can expect throughout the summer, and this year was no exception. If, as they say, “variety is the spice of life”, then we had a real madras of a summer: teenage girls (friend’s daughters), old school friends (or so they claimed), passing friends of friends (possibly the worst sort of visitor ever), the usual mix of family and for us the now familiar assortment of foster cats, have all graced us with their presence and left us in various states of disarray. |
