Phrases:
Hoy, voy a ver a mi amiga Annie - today, I am going to see my friend Annie
Voy a verla - I am going to see her
Nos vamos a tomar un café - we are going for a coffee
Pero, antes de encontrarla, debo comprar algo - but before meeting her, I should buy something
Hoy es sus compleaños - today is her birthday
Necesito un regalo para ella - I need a present for her
¿Conoces a Annie? - do you know Annie?
Es una señora muy simpatica - she is a very nice lady
¿Te gustarÃa conocerla? - would you like to meet her?
Me gustarÃa pero hoy no tengo tiempo - i would like to but today I don’t have time
NB. Yo sé is from the verb saber which means to know something i.e. a fact. ‘Yo conozco a Annie’ is from the verb conocer which means to know of a person or place.
