¿Desde cuándo (ustedes) tienen su gato? – how long have you (plural) had your cat?
(Nosotros) tenemos nuestro gato desde hace ocho meses – we have had our cat for eight months

NB. The pronouns: ustedes (you formal) and nosotros (we) are optional here as the form of the verbs tells us who we are referring to. They are usually used in Spanish to add more emphasis.
NB. También (also, too, as well) tends to come at the end of a positive sentence, which would normally start with ‘si’. Tampoco (either, neither) tends to come at the end of a negative sentence starting with ‘no’.
