Last Night In Almerimar
June 7th, 2008 - Chris MarshallLast night we fancied a glass of wine and some Racionnes (Sardines for Sands and Clams for me), so we headed down to Al-rruz as we hadn’t been for a while and wanted to see what their plans are for the football.
First up we bumped into some friends who used to live here but now live in Seville with their 6 month old baby girl. They had brought some local chorizo with them which Juan Carlos cooked for us as tapas . It was the best chorizo that I have ever tasted. While we sat at the bar a table of 5 said that they recognised us from the site, and that they had just come over to sign for their property in Porto Fina. We had a nice chat with them about the site and Almerimar in general, and then as we were thinking of leaving our neighbours son turned up to eat some steak on our recommendation and then a group of Spanish friends turned up as well. Was really good to see Al-rruz busy, and so many people in there because of the site!!

We fancied a last drink/chat so headed over to La Plaza where we bumped into yet more friends and had a good chat as ever with Lee and Heather.
A couple of drinks later we headed home, to let Moreno and Saidi out on the roof for an hour or so while we watched some TV and reflected on just how easy and affordable life is here.
