Elsewhere half of Spain is on some level of weather alert for high seas, rain or wind. The Cantabrian and Mediterranean coasts are two of 15 provinces on Orange alerts for high winds, while the Costa del Sol and 21 others are on a Yellow alert, mostly for North Westerly winds.
The provinces on Orange Alert for wind and rough seas are Murcia, Alicante, Castellón, Valencia, Baleares (Ibiza, Mallorca, Menorca, Formentera), Girona (mostly in el Ampurdán), Tarragona, Guipúzcoa, Vizcaya, Cantabria, Asturias, A Coruña, Lugo and Pontevedra.
So rain in the north, mostly sunny on the Mediterranean and southern coasts.
