Table For 2 In Spain

December 15th, 2009 - Chris Marshall

Had a really nice lunch earlier with Sands. Has been far too long since we just went out the two of us for a nice meal and a chat.

As we sat there though one thing was really noticeable, the restaurants don’t really set that many tables up for just two people, which is a strong indication of the way they like to eat here in Spain, i.e. in groups! By way of example in the restaurant this afternoon were:

  • 3 Tables of 2 People
  • 4 Tables of 4 People
  • 3 Tables of 6 People
  • 4 Tables of 8+ People

As for Sands and I we enjoyed a very relaxing lunch of:

  • RAF Tomatoes
  • Grilled Vegetables
  • Scrambled Egg with Beans, Prawns, Ham and Garlic
  • Fish for Sands, Steak for me

Couple of glasses of red wine and a bottle of water.

All very nice indeed!

Sounds like a very relaxing time. I could use that here. The temperatures of -52C with windchill do not warrant going out anywhere. So enjoy, while we freeze :)

You know I had never really thought about it like that but that is so true!

Sounds like a very nice meal ….. are we meant to guess where you ate though?
