Spanish Golf Properties Attract Premium Prices

November 24th, 2009 - Chris Marshall

It appears, according to a recent report in The Times, that properties in Spain that have a view of a golf course are still attracting a 20% price premium. Now that may well be 20% of not very much, but it is still good news for places like Almerimar where many of the properties over look the golf course.

In fact it is generally good news for Spain, as the report also quoted the KPMG’s Golf Advisory Practice stating that the country is tipped to be second only to Portugal as a golf property destination. Hopefully then we will see more families with golfers starting to think about buying again soon.

While the Desert Springs resort near Almeria is always going to attract attention, with two bedroom flats discounted to 200.000€, Almerimar with two bedroom flats in Porta Fino starting at 112.000€ with kitchen, is well worth a look.

Can you still get a mortgage though? Well yes according to mortgagesolutions.com who claim that banks are still willing to o offer home loans to overseas buyers.

Fingers crossed then. Almerimar really should be one of the first places to see a improvement as virtually everywhere has great views
