Almeria leads fight against climate change in Andalucia

The Department of Climate Change Environmental Council have developed a tool to calculate the carbon footprint of cities and Almeria has been one of the first cities to use it:

The director general, José María Asensio, and the Delegate of Environment, Clemente Garcia today reported the results of the province, which is the third to last in CO2, methane and nitrous oxide (gas studied) in Spain.

The study was carried out with data from the SIMA database, Andalusian Institute of Statistics, for which 85 fields are generated on livestock farming, waste, electricity use, transportation, fuel consumption
