La Barbera To Apartment By Road King
July 23rd, 2009 - Chris MarshallFor reasons that I will explain another day, and which will become apparent over time on the site, I have been pimping the Road King Classic recently. The final task was to get it recording video while I was riding it! Back in June , thanks to Spencer and Mike at Alamar Centro Nautico I got the mount sorted, but everytime I tried to shoot some video the camcorder kept locking up. Basically it was the ‘anti drop’ feature protecting the hard drive. Even with the feature disabled it wouldn’t record for more than 10 seconds.
Anyway we tried it again this morning with no luck, but as we ate our jamon y tomato tostada at La Barbera this morning I rememered that the camcorder also records to SD card, and that in theory is solid state i.e. no moving parts to be protected, and you no what ……. I was right! Bingo!!!! Can now record video as I ride the Road King. Of course the only way to test it was to record the short journey home from La Barbera to our apartment. I must say that I am very impressed with the quality of the recording ….. fun times ahead, and another task ticked of the To Do list!!! Now I just need to get the screw out of the coffee machine that I have manged to ‘thread’ ……
