Jeep And Dinner
August 7th, 2008 - Chris MarshallYesterday we got the Jeep serviced by a friend. He was actually a little disappointed that it wasn’t in worse shape than it actually was given how little attention it receives. The over heating problem seems to have been sorted out. Once the spark plugs are changed, the window wipers and the creaking passenger door sorted we will have a pretty solid Jeep back again!!!
Anyway to say thanks we went down to La Plaza for a few beers and tapas:
At the moment I have a bit of a thing about the Chilli in Pastry, and must have had at least 4 before trying some garlic cheese on toast.
We were joined by three other friends as they passed by and as things were flowing well decided on the spur of the moment to go to Al-rruz for a paells:
Well four of us had paella and our Al-rruz virgin (his first time there) had the fillet steak, which he said was cooked to perfection and as good as he had ever had.
The meal cost 21€ per person which for salad, clams, mussels, paella and steak with a couple of bottles of wine was very reasonable.
The best thing about it all? It was totally unplanned ….. had only popped down for a couple of beers!!! The marina was pretty busy as well, with most bars and restaurants doing a good trade. I think they are all doing pretty well now, it is just that the summer season only seems to have started now rather than 4 weeks ago.
