Finally A Tostada

April 16th, 2008 - Sandra Marshall

You may have read earlier in the week my disappointment at just missing the breakfast menu at the Milenio, and not being able to order a tostada. Well today we managed to get down there by 1.15 and my integral one with cheese, tuna and oregano was as good as ever. I decided to be healthy and have my cafe con leche decaf, and along with the tostadas to me this is the best in Almerimar (decaf coffee that is)! SO that was one happy me at lunchtime today. Suitably fueled my Mum and I then continued to swap out old for new plants on my balcony, and it is finally starting to look ready for Summer.

    Mori eaten the plants yet?

  2. Sandra Marshall Says:

Actually YES he has started. I even brought him back a selection of herb leaves as a taster with the plan that I would plant him something scrummy that I didn’t mind him eating. However his preference remains Hibiscus!

Quick recipe for “tostada” for breakfast. Put 2 small tomatoes cut in half in the microwave for 2/3 mins. Rub a clove of garlic onto 2 halves of freshly toasted bread with a dribble of olive oil. Spread the cooked tomatoes on the toast, add seasoning to taste and enjoy with a cup of tea or coffee. Takes 3/4 minutes, contains no cholesterol or other additives and is delicious.

Sounds perfect to me. Could do with one now as just got off flight from Dubai and stuck in Birmingham airport for 3 hours.
