Fat Boy Insured & New Advertiser On Almerimar Life

As you know I am a big Harley fan and am lucky enough to have a Fat Boy over here. We also have a Road King Classic back in the UK that I will now be bringing down to Almerimar (again as it used to be here).
Getting insurance has always been a problem regards the Harleys. They are both on UK plates and need to remain that way as basically they have been modified so much that they wouldn’t pass the ITV needed to have the imported. I had a problem years ago with my CBR600 as the bike has to be in the same condition as when it left the factory. Anyone that knows Harleys and their riders knows this just isn’t going to happen!!
As such we had to insure it in the UK and that limited us to the time that it could be here in Spain,m and with the cost of riding back and forth getting more and more we decided we could only justify the one bike here.
That has all changed thanks to the latest advertiser on the site, Almerimar Insurance Services. We wrote about them in April when they first opened, but the bike insurance has only just come up for renewal so I hadn’t had reason to deal with them.
Bike insurance in Spain is very very expensive, so don’t be alarmed by these numbers!!! I emailed Tony my details and he quickly came back with a quote that would enable me to keep the bike on a UK plate, but have it here in Almerimar 12 months of the year. Third party only was 580€, and fully comprehensive was 780€. A couple of emails later it was all sorted out - brilliant service.
