Fancy An Offshore Account?
December 1st, 2007 - Sandra MarshallI had always thought that people opened offshore accounts because they had lots of money and wanted to avoid paying too much tax! However I can now see that the rates can be pretty good even for more ordinary mortals, and that many of the well known banks and building societies offer them.
In addition, following on from my article today “If You Decide To Go Back Home”, there appears to be a big advantage in having an offshore account with a bank strongly linked to the UK if you want to maintain a credit rating back home.
