El Ejido Rugby Fixtures
October 10th, 2007 - Chris MarshallIt is that time of year again, the drinking season is here again! That is pretty much how I think of the rugby season as pretty much every match seems to turn into a huge drinking session.
I got involved with the rugby club in its first year here in El Ejido when my mate Kevin coached them and taught them all the social habits and expectations of a rugby club. At the time I was trying to get them fit but as every training session was followed by a session in the bar that wasn’t ever going to work really.
This will be their fourth season and they have improved each year. I think they need a few more players to strengthen the squad, and they are always really happy to see supporters at the ground just along the beach. It really is a good morning out watching the game, then having a few beers and some paella then it sort of goes down hill with a couple or more hours in Cafe H@cker!
