Creamfields - The Good, Bad and Pure Ugly!!!
August 13th, 2008 - Chris Marshall60,000 I was told, then 35,000, now 20,000 …… hard to know exactly but this is what I do know:
- The organisers are calling it a huge success
- The residents of Guardias Viejas were not impressed with the total clogging up of their town
- The beaches are best kept well clear of for the next year!!!
How do I know this last bit? Well I was talking some friends earlier who said they were going to call me to go up and take some pictures of the state of the beach to show the local council etc. Apparently they are full of human waste, vomit etc etc. Thankfully I wasn’t called on to take the pictures, but my friend said the beaches are so bad that he wouldn’t even be walking his dogs there!!!
As Creamfields was a ‘rave’ and the Ole! festival is a concert hopes are higher that there will not be a repeat!!!
Consensus of opinion was ‘great idea, but poorly managed and lacking the infrastructure for such an event.
