Because they follow the moon changes the Chinese New Year can begin anytime between late January and mid-February and the celebrations lasts for a long 15 days. Another tradition of the Chinese New Year is that every year it is dedicated to an animal. Not only this but depending on when you were born depends on your animal sign. This year is the “Year of the Dragon”.
