Chaos Fitness Training

It is about a new craze in fitness training that has recently started unsurprisingly in the States. It basically takes the form of an unchoreographed, instructor-led workout, and is the brainchild of an American fitness physiologist. Why is it called chaos training? The scientific theory of chaos says that a series of seemingly random actions can achieve a predetermined goal.

Incorporating a mixture of traditional exercises (jumping jacks, press-ups, sit-ups) and an extraordinary collection of props (traffic cones, helium balloons and skipping ropes, for example), the 60- to 90-minute session is designed to help you burn calories without any risk of boredom. To a soundtrack of perky pop music, you work every muscle and build core strength. In fact, this is a rigorous workout disguised as a children’s birthday party. All that’s missing is jelly and ice-cream.The Telegraph
Well it all sounds a bit wacky to me, and currently only a health spa in the UK offers it, but the writer of the article: Diet and fitness: it’s child’s play who hates traditional fitness regimes really enjoyed it, so maybe they are on to something.
Not sure I can see it taking off here in Spain though!
