Champions League In Al-rruz
September 14th, 2008 - Chris Marshall

Following up on from the excellent atmosphere during Euro2008, we have got together with Al-rruz again to present yet another initiative!
The idea is that you more you go into Al-rruz during the Champions League the more you benefit. The way it works is that you register two teams that you are going to support during the Champions League. You have to stick with these teams throughout though …….. no swapping even for bribes!!! There is a chart in Al-rruz where you enter your names and teams. You must do this before the first match involving your team starts this week.
Every time you go into Al-rruz to watch a game during the Champions League you get 1 point. If you go in when your team are playing (and on TV) you get 3 points (rather than the 1), and if your team win when you are in and watching you get 6 points (rather than the 3). Additional if you are in and watching your team and they score first you get a free drink (a repeat of your last drink).
Then at the end of the group stage your points are added up, and carried forward to the knock out stages, so the longer your team remain in the competition and the more you go into Al-rruz to support them, the more points you get, and yes points = prizes.
SCORING RULES
1.- Declare and register yourself –at Al-rruz– as supporter of one or two Group Stage Champions League 2008 football teams
2.- If your team scores the first goal in the match you get a free drink (like the one you are drinking)
3.- Any time you come to Al-rruz for a Champions League 2008 football match, you gain points according to this Scoring Table:
- 1 point if you come to a match where none of your teams is playing
- 3 points if you come to a match where any of your teams is playing
- 6 points if your team wins the match4.- At the end of the Group Stage, each one of the four supporters with the higher score will win a bottle of Rioja ‘Marqués de Treviño Crianza’ red wine.
When the Group Stage is over, we’ll inform you about the rules and trophies of the next stage.
Please check out the games we’ll offer each matchday at www.al-rruz.com, www.al-rruz.co.uk or www.almerimarlife.com.
There will also be offers throughout the competition, for those and the prizes you will have to go in and find out ……. got to leave some surprises for you!
See you in there. I will be following Man Utd and Real Madrid, Sands will be following Liverpool and Barcelona.
