Cat In Box & Out!

May 6th, 2008 - Sandra Marshall

VERY frustrating today; Pam and I actually managed to get Monty, our beautiful stray siamese into an upended cat box, and we were both sure that all 4 catches were secure. However when I turned the box to normal upright he somehow managed to burst through the door! amazing the strength of these feral Almerimar strays, and apparently the second time he has done this. Mary and Pam will try again tomorrow assuming he will come anywhere near, after today’s experience. We must just be patient and keep trying. Meanwhile a beautiful injured British blue has been rescued this afternoon by George, and as he is so tame, assuming he recovers ok, he will be off to Casa de los Gatos for re-homing, with some more of the treasure hunt money.

British Blue rescued by George and jean Inkster. This is a very poorly beautiful cat from the rocks by the varadero and has only appeared on the scene for 1 week. he has a big problem with 3 paws and Begonia our local Vet said that she had never seen anything like it before.he is a really lovely gentle cat with a quiet nature and seems so glad to be rescued and hopefully put rightGeorge and jean collected him this evening and have taken him back into their home to nurse him back to health. This is a cat who would appreciate being adopted and being in a flat environment is there anyone out there who could give him a home.We will get him neutered and see how he progresses - he i s on antibiotics and antinflammtory injections and is eating and drinking well and has settled into Jean and George’s hospital bay.Wi ll give an update after Begonia examines him on Friday. If I didnt have 3 cats and a dog I would be sorely tempted to adopt him..Hopefully I can get Chris to take a photograph of this beautiful cat which might tug someones heartstrings.
