Cat Charity To Lose £11m
October 10th, 2008 - Chris MarshallIf we thought our fund raising was tough it is nothing compared to the potential issue facing the UK Cats Protection League which has £11m invested in Iceland banks:
The organisation is just the latest charity or public body to be on the brink of losing millions unless a deal can be struck between the British and Icelandic governments.
The charity insisted the cash was for long-term projects and emergencies - and did not threaten its future.
“Cats Protection would like to assert that, whilst upsetting, this news will have no impact at all on the charity’s day to day operation,” a statement said.
