Buying Overseas From British Builders

Using a tried and tested UK company can be one way of minimising your risk when buying overseas property.
OK 100% may be an exaggeration but the gist of the article is that with property markets across the world struggling you should ‘protect’ yourself from the increased risks of investing abroad by using a reputable British company that has already sort out the ‘best’ investments for you.
Readers of this blog will know that local experts are somewhat skeptical of the new investment opportunities that have been oversold here. These have all been done by reputable external companies that - to be blunt about it - have totally misled and oversold the market. Sure people make their own decisions in life, but they are entitled to accurate and unbiased advice from ’so called’ experts!!!
My view is that by far the best thing to do is to travel to the place, meet with a number of local estate agents (only pick ones that have been operating for years i.e through the good and bad times of the property market), get them to introduce you to the developers and then chose your property and estate agent.
Sticking with local resources is by far the best way to go - they know the market better and will still be around in years to come.
Sorry Telegraph, I think your article and advice are rubbish. ‘Go Local’ should have been your advice!!!
