Beach Restaurants

A misconception of living in a place where people come for their holidays is that you are actually on holiday all the time yourself. Not true.
One aspect of living in a place where people come for their holidays is that you can forget to actually ‘do’ the holiday things from time to time. It is very easy to get wrapped up in normal day to day stuff and to take for granted some of the great options that exist. In so doing you end up not supporting the tourist trade which we all need to see thrive here.
Yesterday we took one of our unscheduled and not very frequent ‘holiday days’ and went down to the beach for lunch. Only open during the summer months these restaurants are basic but remarkably good. They all offer sunbeds to rent for the day or the afternoon and are a great place to hang out for the day.
We just went for lunch - a typical ‘beach lunch’ of Salad, BBQ Chicken, Boquerones (small fried fish), Sardines, a couple of cold beers and some water. Bill came in at just over 30€ which is slightly expensive, but we had too much food (as usual) so pretty good value, good quality and very very relaxing!
Afterwards we walked along the beach which is still very quite for this time of year, grabbed a coffee in the marina and then walked home - a very pleasant mini day out!
