I went off in search of a new Internet router today, and now feel that it is time I recommended Batch PC to anyone who hasn’t discovered it yet. This little PC gem is in the row of shops by Copo nearest to the car park. We have been in before to get cables, printer cartridges etc. and they have always been really friendly and helpful, and do speak minimal English.

Today I was able to go off and do some shopping whilst the very pleasant guy fully configured my router for Telefonica. It was then supposed to be ‘plug and go’, and according to Simon who took it away to test with his PC is was, just not in my appartment!

Anyway Batch PC did a good job and I am left to diagnose what keeps happening to my internet. However this is turning out to be a very sociable week as me and my portable Mac are enjoying a variety of wireless networks and cups of tea, glasses of wine etc!
