Anyone For Lemons?
February 24th, 2008 - Sandra MarshallEvery so often it is good to have a complete chill-out day. We had some friends over for supper last night and, even though it wasn’t a particularly late one, it was the end of a fairly busy week. A lie-in / snooze with 2 breakfasts followed, and apart from feeding the strays kittens and tidying up my emails etc. I have been mainly pottering. One of the good things about the morning after a supper party is you get to finish up the good bits. We have just enjoyed tea and lemon meringue pie (one of my specialities) made with real Spanish lemons grown in my friend’s garden. We were discussing what you could make with a constant supply of lemons and couldn’t get beyond cakes and desserts! Maybe that is the way forward … something scrummy made with lemons every weekend.
