You will notice that we have added a number of new features to the site, all of which should be mutually beneficial. At the top of the right hand sidebar you will see over time a variety of offers that you can take advantage of that will range from Travel Insurance, Mobile Phones, Satellite TV, Credit Cards, Properties etc. Towards the bottom of the right hand sidebar you will see a Amazon.co.uk store so you can shop for anything on Amazon directly from the site. If you want to buy a Amazon gift voucher for someone then open up any of the posts and you will see a banner at the bottom of the post that you can click on.

We have added these in addition to the Google Ads, which hopefully are showing items that you find interesting. Don’t forget clicking on a Google Ad doesn’t cost you anything and will take you to a range of great offers. Similarly with the new additions to the site clicking on them doesn’t cost you anything. If you decide to buy or use the service then sure you pay the advertised rate and we get a commission to help out with the cost of the site.

So if you use Amazon please use it through the site. If you see a advert that you are interested in please click on it - every little helps. Hopefully by bringing you good relevant offers we can help each other.

I think you may have a few gremlins in the works following the changes. You say the right hand sidebar in the story but the things display in the left hand one.

The text ads at the top left link to nothing in Firefoxand display a broken link in IE.

Although you have a title called Google Ads I´ve never seen anything displayed in that section.

The Amazon banner link in the centre bottom of this page displays as a broken link.

The final comment is that the home page is starting to take a long time to download on the relatively slow broadband we have got here in Spain. Is there anything that can be done to improve download times?

I have just clicked on the two text ads at the top left and the Amazon one and they are working fine. I have checked in Safari, Camino, Firefox and IE. They are all showing up OK as well regards the three columns as well.

If you have preferences set in browser to block ads that will stop them linking through, and it will also stop the Google Ads from showing as well.

I know that smaller screens have an issue showing the three columns sometimes, what resolutions/size you using?

I think that to make it load quicker I will need to get it all redone in CSS, which is an option for the future.

For now if you can let me know if changing preferences (if applicable) works as they are all working fine here at the moment.
