A Weird World!!
July 30th, 2008 - Chris MarshallDoes it ever strike you that it is a very weird world that we live in?
Without doubt we are headed for (if not already in) a recession. You only have to look around Almerimar (and no doubt where you live) to see the effects - businesses closing down, great deals to be had on properties, permanent sales in the stores, less flights etc etc.
So how come the three things that I am waiting to buy, are all so damn hard to get hold of????
- the 3G iPhone has been out since 11th July but isn’t available anywhere in Spain other than Madrid, and it has sold out in the US and pretty much the UK
- the Wii Fit has been out for months but getting hold of one is like Rocking Horse S***
- ditto Guitar Hero 3 for the Wii
Now you could argue (and I would be hard pushed to disagree) that they are all luxury, non urgent items but at the end of the day they are sales i.e. my money going to a retailer. Now I may be over reacting but surely that is the whole point of the sales process - being able to take the money from the customer when he wants to give it to you.
