A Good Weekend – Premiership Week 2
August 25th, 2008 - Chris MarshallSupporting a lot of teams this year. I have supported Man Utd for as long as I can remember, well the early 70′s anyway, so they are the team that I follow. Having grown up watching Hull City I am excited for them and hope they do well. As I moved to Stoke in the late 70′s I have a slight loyalty to Stoke City.
Sands sort of supports Liverpool as they are the closest team to where she was brought up Formby (well the closest that she has any interest in).
So it was a good weekend for us. Hull continue to do well, and the comments from the Gillette Saturday crew about their defense and energy was very good. Stoke recorded their first win with a good late goal against Villa in a bit of a local derby, and Liverpool ruined the Boro’s weekend in the last minute as well, which is never a bad thing in my book!
And then there was Man Utd on Monday night …. good pace and movement, definitely not their strongest side, but very impressive and good to watch. Scholes gave a master class and Tevas is more and more impressive.
